Unable to connect to Telnet by DCC

Hi! Had face a problem with the FTP & Telnet. When i input the user ID : root & Passwd : dreambox, it says FTP connected but FTP disconnected due to wrong ID & PW. Anyone have any clue?

Hi! Accordingly to the specs, it stated " With Boothloader #76 ,Sim version 2.01 , Image 5.0 or higher" When i boot up, the screen says "Blackhole" starting egnima2.

I can't install any plug-in as i cannot excess files in the dm800hd thru DCC. Please help.

Hi! Accordingly to the specs, it stated " With Boothloader #76 ,Sim version 2.01 , Image 5.0 or higher" When i boot up, the screen says "Blackhole" starting egnima2.

I can't install any plug-in as i cannot excess files in the dm800hd thru DCC. Please help.

Download a FTP client, (ie. FileZilla, WinSCP, or commandline psftp)

FTP the ipk file into /tmp
Telnet to the box (ie telnet dm800)

If there is no telnet in your system, download Putty, its a freeware, available in PC and Mac.

Login as root and issue this command
cd /tmp
opkg install abc.ipk (assuming abc.ipk is your plugin file)

Then reboot.

The plugin will be listed in the Setup, Plugin menu.
(Depends how the plugin was written).

Hi! Thank you for your help! Before i try that, can i ask if these FTP client still need to log in with the default password? it seem that no matter what ftp cleients i used, it always have the same problem, ie. wrong user id or password. And if i can't connect to ftp or telnet, there is no way i can transfer files. Again, thank you very much for your help!

If the default root/dreambox has been changed, you can try the file manager in dreambox and modify the passwd file.
Search the web on how to modify the passwd file.

Well, i have confirmed with the supplier that the id & passwork is "root" & "dreambox" and i did not do any changes to it, but still cannot work. sighz! anw, will try again. Thanks!

hi there, i am not sure about Blackhole image coz i am using Newnigma image. but anyway, go to Download section and get that TSPanel ipk file. put it inside a thumbdrive. plugin the thumbdrive to your DM box and startup the box. once fully started, navigate around your Blackhole menu to install this plugin offline, meaning either thumbdrive or int/ext hdd. hopefully you can install TSPanel.

if that is successful, inside TSPanel got an option to blank off your current password. meaning that userID is ROOT and password is a 'BLANK'. hopefully it works for you. cheers.

ps - no need to install this plugin via DCC. install using direct Blackhole Menu.
