Before you spend money to buy, You can try plug your box to your friend or neighbour's home and see if the problem still exist. If the symptoms goes away, it means the problem lies with your home signal.

bro, what is your understanding of autoroll?
Autoroll is only rolling the keys...... so what is the actual question you want to know? Kindly read the forum for more info.

I have not come across any set without autoroll keys since i join the forum. Maybe its the old unit?

Thanks for your reply. I have a DM500c box which i stopped using because previous supplier charge for keys update...
I came across this wonderful forum and started working on the box (flashing new image, etc..). Now I see only FTA channels and not others, I believe the keys file are missing - which prompted me to ask the autoroll question.

Appreciate any help or assistance on resolving this....

well it just recovered after shut down. Siao siao one, happen to 2 units (both unit approx 2 yrs old) at different point and only chn 809, while all other channels perform as per normal.

hi guys urgent help here please. After i flashed into dm500c-Pli_21122012-Jade_3, i forgotten to backup my files from the old image.
I had lost the old img when my com crashed

i can now only receive free to air channels.

This thread has been most informative. I tried with my set this morning with the instructions provided but encountered some problems and hope to seek assistance here.

The Dreambox Edit will stop responding after the following lines
<Sending file "/var/tuxbox//config/enigma/bouquets>
<Starting FTP Transfer>

I reboot my box after waited for 5 mins without any response on the Dreambox Edit thinking the process is done. After I switched on the box again, I can see the updated channel lists but none has any image.

How long would the FTP transfer process take? Or is there something wrong with the program or settings?

I am using DM500C and I used E1 as instructed. and I have tried DB Edit ver 3/4/5.

Hope to get some helps here. Thanks a lot.

If there is updated channels, the ftp transfer process is successful.

I can see the updated channel list but there is no image at all. Not even the FTA channels.

Wonder where the problem lies? Do I have to rescan transponder after hard reboot?
