If you flash E5830 firmware to a E5832s you will kill it!

I have done just that flashed e5832 firmware on my e5832s
The modem has a deceiving label:

I'm told this may work:

1. Disconnect modem from the USB port, remove the battery and put it back without pressing any buttons.

2. Then press the Connect button and keep it pressed then press the Power button and keep it pressed too.

3. With the two buttons pressed, count from 0 to 5. When at 5, release both buttons and immediately after, hit the connect button once.

4. Then connect the USB port to your computer.

5. Flash correct firmware.

Post the results...

It seems I can't get qmat to work.
Tried many things and didn't receive nothing after sending the 00 command.
I'm also receiving the message "phone does not respond.maybe another software is blocking the port."
Myu imei starts with 3541030....
I read elsewhere the there are problems getting the info from devices with the imei in this range.
Can anybody help?

Have you installed Huawei drivers before connecting to the USB port?

Also ensure ALL other dashboard and 'helper' files are shut down or else the COM port will be in use! Look in Windows task manager.

Also use ideally under Windows XP, not Windows 7 and certainly never Windows Vista!!

I used PSAS instead of QMAT and there was a problem with the drivers, but now it is unlocked!

I Dont Know What I'm Doing Wrong

I have tried several times to get both the QMAT and Rev Skills programs to work in XP and Windows7 but the read usually fails and program closes or the resulting files have all been of differing sizes and cant be opened as they are only part of the file(but these part files are massive, over 200mb!).

Here is the latest read but I have been unable to find the code in the Extract text program

Can anyone here make sense from it and maybe find the unlocking code?
