Huawei E5830, E5832 & E5838 Free Unlock

I have tried several times to get both the QMAT and Rev Skills programs to work in XP and Windows7 but the read usually fails and program closes or the resulting files have all been of differing sizes and cant be opened as they are only part of the file(but these part files are massive, over 200mb!).

Here is the latest read but I have been unable to find the code in the Extract text program

Can anyone here make sense from it and maybe find the unlocking code?

The file (before being Zipped or RAR'ed) should be 700K to 780K in size. Anything else and you are doing something wrong!

Hi, It is the Huawei E5832s.
I have tried the QMAT program with no sim card and the Rev Skills program with a different sim which shown invalid sim as it is locked out.
I followed the guide and even went as far as disabling all start-up items in msconfig to see if something was interfering with the process.
The only dashboard software is the shortcut loaded by the device which loads the device page in a browser window.

I have noticed now that the device freezes/locks up when I use QMAT

I have no idea what the Rev Skills program is??

I assume that you have USB drivers loaded for the device on your PC?

I'd suggest trying on another PC ideally running Windows XP.

We've unlocked quite a few E5832s on here, so it shouldn't be an issue...

hello as follow up i bricked the modem! such careless mistake of removing while updating! i am such an airhead... can somebody please help me revive the modem!

Are you using Windows XP? If not try updating under XP.

Always remove and refit battery after each failed attempt!

I eventually relented and installed the generic netvigator firmware from the dc unlocker site and then tried again and after a bit of fiddling around with QMAT where I switched the Vendor around from generic to Huawei and I got the code after a few attempts(first one on list).

Baud rate was set to lowest rate 9600

The command box showed "FA27" in it instead of just "27" which was there in previous failed attempts, but this did not change to FA27 until I first changed the vendor to one of the generic then picked the read efs then switched vendor to huawei.

number was easy to find using extract text once I got the file

i gave up in reviving the modem, but i got another one, thanks to your steps i unlock it! I also finished installing unbranded firmware from you. Now the only thing is how can i change the dashboard. Can you please tell me exactly on how can i flash the branded dashboard and install the generic Mobile Partner. When i am clicking exe files it just install the mobile partner but not flash out the original dashboard of the modem. Thanks in advance!

It is huawei e5832s aka Domino here in france, it is on Orange customized dashboard in which i cannot change the apn thru its original dashboard and the new firmware does not have apn setting in the web interface GUI. If i cannot flash the original dashboard, do you know a way to change the apn for different operator? Thank you!
