no laptop nowadays will have coms port. You wont find one laptop that has a coms port.

i got my hands on a null modem cable, connected to my desktop and could use dreamup to connect. As per other thread instructions, i flashed a pli-Jade image which the box was running previously, everything looked good, CRC check was ok, but box still showed solid green light. Followed steps in this thread, flashed the provide bouquet, all status msg was ok, box still solid green, pressing standby button does not help.

Will go home and connect up the box to try, but is my box kaput if it is stuck at the current state?

can only get free to air channels now....read its due to no keys n scce, I copied the 2 folders from my other box into the revived one, but like cannot....any advise from seniors here?

Please mind the stuff you are posting.

Firstly, we all started out as a noob, knowing nothing and learning stuff along the way. You need help, post in the relevant topics. You have questions, ask nicely!! How will you feel if somebody ask you for favor in real life AGGRESSIVELY/ARROGANTLY?!?!? I quote an example "I have a dm800hd se not a 500c, whenever thread this is everyone has a problem that is needed to be solved, if not for me then someone else will ask something else, so better to help find a solution so we all can carry on our lives... " For your info, Even if you never ever find a solution, our live still carries on. =))

Secondly, Do not expect to be spoon-fed, this way you will learn nothing. Try to figure it out on your own first, if there are things you are unsure of, use the search button first. You will realize there were alot of repeated questions and answers to it. More often that not, the questions you have can be found. DON'T BE LAZY!!!

Lastly, please refrain from posting KEYWORDS in full ie. our country and our service provider. Because they can easily be found using online search engine.

I am using 800HD and have updated the channels using DBedit. I noticed some channels such as 155 and 468 etc. have Tuned Failed error. For 468, it works sometimes. Is this an issue with the cable signal? I do not think it is an issue with the parameters as all of us are using the same. In general, most channels work fine but 155 never works. Thanks.

Sorry wrong info. 468 food network asia hd works with no issue. It is 433 food network asia and 155 hd5 does not work. Do you have the same issue?

Go to the first post of this thread and download the Bouquet from the link provided. I just update my DM500c and 402 works as with all channels.

Should be no problem if you used the channel list from 1st page that i upload on the 6th jun for 500C & i just upload for those E2 box that include the new channels

This new bouquet does not have lock icon if you're open using DB Edit however there is no Demand Channels

just got a new dm500c from china. They don't seem to able to give me the password.
Do i need the password in order to ftp keys/scce and play with the box?

Funny, pls post which dealer in China u get from, I know China DM500C all NOT PW lock!!!! This dealer is definately commiting business suicide.
Post their website if it is bought online.

Bro, I know in China certain unwritten Pirate Rules r followed, they dont break them juz for Sg. eg. Those sell to Sg had Mgcamd installed ealier then they find these boxes cannot b sold to other countries, so now they only put in the KEYS juz to view Sg chn, no mgcamd. but all DB boxes hv std CCam2.1.4 and nothing else bcos other countries dont need mgcamd, or hv different mgcamd config.
I know bcos I supply PCB to them earlier but now business sold bcos I too old. I mean my factory in CHINA lah.
